Parco del Big Bend poco conosciuto e, forse, di bellezza inferiore agli altri parchi più rinomati. Paesaggio abbastanza monotono con alcuni punti interessanti. Trail del Santa Helena Canyon finisce in maniera inaspettata contro una parete rocciosa e quasi ti fa arrabbiare dopo 2 Km di camminata. Parco da vedere se si visita il Texas.

Il ristorante the Big Texan è assolutamente da provare: si trascorrere una serata tipica texana che difficilmente si dimentica! Carne ottima!!! Cimentatevi nella mitica sfida delle 72 once di carne da mangiare in 1 ora...che ridere!!!! Ottime le birre locali...servitevi di taxy e limousine messe a disposizione dagli hotel, perché se bevete non potete guidare!!!! Tutto il texas ha favolosi paesaggi..giratelo!!!!

Austin è una delle città degli USA in più forte espansione in uno stato già di per sé come il Texas. Si è autodenominata capitale mondiale della musica per la grande presenza di locali dal vivo, particolarmente sulla 6th Street, piena di pub, bar e ristoranti. Al riguardo, da non perdere il classico barbecue texano.

Quando ti immagini il Texas pensi a bistecconi, ranch e cowboy con cappello e stivali. Austin invece è diversa, l'influenza del vicino Messico si fa sentire in colori, sapori e stili di vita. Di giorno può apparire una qualsiasi città di provincia del Sud degli States, ma la sera è unica: ci sono strade piene di locali, si suona e si balla dappertutto e nel weekend la musica dal vivo comincia la mattina e finisce la mattina dopo. Andate e divertitevi!

Piccola cittadina del Texas famosa, per quanto mi riguarda, per il programma TV "Casa su misura". Ho avuto poco tempo per visitarla ma mi è piaciuta. Oltre ai Silos di Magnolia Market ci sono dei bei ponti e i musei dei Texas rangers e dello sport.

Camera ampia e spaziosa, letti molto comodi. Prese di corrente ben posizionate. Doccia grande con un'ottima regolazione dell'acqua e bagno ben organizzato. Buona la pulizia della stanza. Ottima colazione intercontinentale, con tanto di pancake a forma di "Texas". Non abbiamo usufruito dei numerosi servizi proposti, quindi non posso esprimermi in merito. Comodo ed ampio parcheggio gratuito. L'hotel si trova a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro città, vicino all'imbocco delle autostrade principali.

ottima struttura a poca distanza dal centro, fattibile a piedi, in 15 min si è sul river walk. Il parcheggio gratuito è una gran cosa, immediatamente fuori l’hotel ci sono parcheggi a 55$/d. camera comoda e moderna, con una postazione di lavoro attrezzata. A colazione i pancake a forma di Texas sono una vera chicca!!
